After passing away of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa, his disciple and Great Vedantic Monk Swami Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission at Belur Math, Howrah in the year 1897 along with other disciples of his Master. An Organisation having the history of more than a century is working on the principles of Swami Vivekananda "Serve Man Serve God".

Regular Puja in the morning and Aarti in the evening are performed every day.
Vivekananda Balak Sangh is run every Sunday from 9 am to 10 am for school students from many years.
Some initiated devotees of Ramakrishna Math used to pray and read Shri Ramakrishna Vachanamrut on every Sunday in Kanya Shala – a school in Satara. Shri. Lambodar Kashikar, Shri. A. G. Karandikar, Dr. Shri. V. H. Tilak was amongst them.
In the year 1967 there was a large earthquake happened in Koyana which is near to Satara. Ramakrishna Math and Mission Mumbai built a village “Ramakrishna Nagar” near Kashil as a part of relief work done by the Math and Mission. While opening ceremony of the village the 9th President of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Belur (Kolkata) Shirmat Swami Vireshwaranandaji Maharaj visited and blessed devotees of Seva Mandal and inspired them to start a center.
Talwalkar Family who were the owners of Shri Hanuman Mandir at 93, Yadogopal Peth, Near Samartha Mandir Chowk, Satara given the Mandir area on rent where Shri Ramakrishna Seva Mandal gets the establishment in 1967. Afterwards they have given Seva Mandal rights as the occupier of Land and Mandir area.
Established in 1967, Ramakrishna Seva Mandal has made its debut in the golden jubilee year and on that occasion, the Seva Mandal organized various activities/programs for one and a half years
